The OLC Voice
Issue #2: 1.7 Million People That Won't Go Away
|
Dear Joseph,
It
is very difficult to find the words to describe the 9/12 March on
Washington D.C. An estimated 1.7 million patriots assembled in
our nation's capital, demanding that our voices be heard. Among
those voices were thousands of Ohioans, whom The Ohio Liberty Council
was happy to help assemble together on the north lawn of the Washington Monument. It was another inspiring and impressive rally for Ohio with seventy-two
Ohio patriot-packed buses plus thousands of other Ohio freedom lovers
who drove hundreds of miles to be there. We were loud and we were
many and we will not go away! We will only grow larger and
louder, more educated and alert. We will NOT go away! Read more...

The Impact of Our Voices
The "I am the Voice of America" Freedom Rally Surpasses Attendance of Presidential Visit to the Area by a Margin of 4 to 1
The
Voice of America Rally on September 5 drew 18,000 attendees per
Cincinnati Channel 5 WLWT. President Obama's AFL-CIO Speech drew
an audience of 4,500 according to the same source. The Voice of
America Rally drew an audience four times larger than the President of
the United States of America. Isn't that incredible?
If you missed the rally, there are several videos on YouTube and articles
available to read about it on the Cincinnati Tea Party website.
Not only were the speakers excellent, but if you missed the Town Hall
portion of the event, you really missed a great opportunity to hear
answers from Representative John Boehner, Reperesenative Jean Schmidt,
Representative Mike Turner, and Gubernatorial candidate John Kasich on
some very tough questions from concerned citizens just like you.
How well do our representatives understand the Constitution, and
individual rights? Watch the videos to see for yourself.
"Ohio is really on fire" -- Glenn Beck
Cincinnati
Tea Party's Chris Littleton called into Glenn Beck's radio show to
discuss how The Ohio Liberty Council has worked to form the
"Anti-ACORN" and how our constituent groups like Cincinnati Tea Party,
Cincinnati 912, Dayton Tea Party, and groups in Columbus have united to
pull off some amazing displays of unity in our events like the August
1st Liber-TEA Party and the Voice of America Rally in Cincinnati.
Listen to Glenn and Chris discuss how Ohio is making a huge difference in the 912 and Tea Party movement. |

Shouting for Accountability
Michigan more sovereign than Ohio? We don't think so!
Thursday
Sept 17th was Constitution Day and in a fitting tribute the Michigan
Senate passed their state resolution declaring sovereignty under the
10th amendment of the U.S. constitution. This resolution states
the powers not enumerated and granted to the federal government are
reserved to the states and the people.
Not to be outdone by
our rivals to the north, citizens and legislatures in the Buckeye state
have been hard at work on their own 10th amendment resolution. A
second hearing on Ohio's own Senate Resolution, SCR13, was held on
Tuesday Sept. 15th with public testimony. Concerned citizens from
around the state of Ohio showed up to testify to the Senate State and
Local Government Committee why they believe SCR13 must be passed.
You can get a full description of the hearing on the Ohio Liberty Council blog. There will be a senate vote for the Senate State Sovereignty Resolution this Tuesday, September 22nd. Please continue to contact your state representatives and ask them to support SCR13 in the Senate and HCR11 in the House.

"With the recent fear-mongering from high-level elected officials, it is
not out of the realm of possibility to guess that our government may be
