House Call to Congress - Healthcare Protest in DC this Thursday
 We've
tried phone call after phone call and letter after letter to our
representatives telling them that WE WILL NOT STAND FOR A PUBLIC OPTION
in healthcare. We've visited our representatives at town halls and told
them in no uncertain terms, "Healthcare IS NOT A RIGHT." We've told
them that if they were really interested in more healthcare competition
that they should open up INTERSTATE COMPETITION for healthcare
insurance. We burned up the phone lines of Senators Olympia Snowe, and
Blanche Lincoln letting them know that they must say no to a public
option, there must be no mandates for us to use government insurance,
and they must give us time to review a bill. They ignored us and passed
the bill out of Senate committee anyway. And now, the House has
produced a tome.
Ohio,
we've reached the limit. The bill has grown from 1100 pages to now over
1900 pages. It has a public option. It would force all Americans to buy
insurance (or potentially face jail time). It has public funding of
abortions. It has regulation on vending machines. It has taxes on
medical devices, such as pacemakers. It calls for a healthcare czar.
It's estimated to cost over $1 TRILLION. We cannot let this bill pass -
not on our watch. They thought that after the 9/12 March that we would
just go away. We've warned them that the tea parties are just the
beginning and that we are in this for the long haul. We've warned them
and shown them that we will not sit by idly and watch America be
destroyed from within. We've warned them that we will not sit by and
watch the future of our children and grandchildren be wasted and watch
them be sold into servitude in the form of oppressing taxation. Ohio ...
IT'S TIME TO TAKE A STAND
Bus Information
COLUMBUS: Brandon Coffey of WALNUT
has reserved two buses that are currently scheduled to depart from the
Columbus Aiport Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 5PM. The estimated cost is $125,
which includes a hotel stay in Rockville, MD the night of Nov. 4. The
buses will then depart for the Capitol on the morning of Nov. 5 and
return the evening of Nov. 5 to Columbus. To get the most up-to-date

I can't go, but is there another way that I can help?
The Ohio Liberty Council currently has people who are not attending for
only financial reasons. Some concerned Americans who are unable
to go to this vital protest have decided to make a donation to cover
the costs of someone else attending in their place. We were very
surprised by their unanticipated acts of generosity. Ohio
patriots just never cease to amaze us. We are so appreciative of
your help and support in our efforts. If you cannot attend, but
you, too, would still like to help, you can consider making a
contribution to the effort by making a donation of $125.00 so someone
else can go. If you cannot contribute $125, any help is certainly
appreciated and we'll pool donations to send folks. We need the
numbers at this event! If you make a donation to pay the way for
another protestor and we exhaust our stand-by list we will gladly

Keeping the Pressure on Against Government Healthcare
 Democratic
Speaker Nancy Pelosi (Ca.) is planning to try to ram the massive health
care bill (H.R. 3962, previously H.R. 3200) through the U.S. House of
Representatives, on short notice, on November 5 or 6. Pelosi's plan is
to demand that the House pass the bill under a "closed rule", which is
a procedure that would not allow any amendments to H.R. 3962 to be
considered. Congresswoman Michelle Bachman has asked for our help. Bachman
is asking every concerned American to join her on the Capital Building
steps this Thursday at Noon to confront Pelosi and tell her a free
people will not accept this! To get information on this event or to
share a ride go to the OLC Website or the OLC Event Meetup.
If you can't join us in Washington on the 5th, please contact your Representative.
Even if you have already called and written your federal
representatives about the health care bills, it is critical that you
call again now. Time is short. In addition to phone calls we are asking
you to consider visiting your representatives local office or
organizing a protest in front of his/her office. WE MUST TAKE A
STAND! The proposed Healthcare Bill:
"The 'Affordable Health Care for America Act' (HR 3962) is so
comprehensive that it even micromanages restaurant menus and vending
machines! It's a clear signal that this is not about health care. It's
about whether the people of the United States will allow power-mad
Washington politicians to plunge us into the kind of top-down socialism
that is strangling Western Europe and has devastated economies and
